Explore the Green River: Sections A, B, and C**

The Green River is divided into three distinct sections, each offering unique fishing experiences and breathtaking scenery.

**Section A**: Starting just below Flaming Gorge Dam, this section is renowned for its crystal-clear waters and abundant trout population. Anglers can expect to see stunning red rock canyons rising over 500 feet above the lush canyon floor. Where there is a variety of wildlife,  including, m<span;>oose, elk,<span;> deer, eagles, otters and occasional bear. The fishing here is exceptional with dry fly patterns such as PMDs, caddis, and Yellow Sally dries in sizes #20-26 being particularly effective.

**Current Water Flow and Temperature**

The current water flow releases from Flaming Gorge Dam are between 1,735 and 1,795 cubic feet per second (cfs), with water temperatures averaging between 56-60°F¹².
